"The Northwest's Highest Restaurant" The Summit Grill and Alpine Patio is located at the tramway’s upper terminal which sits at the 8,150 foot level of Mt. Howard. Here guests dine overlooking the beautiful Wallowa Lake and enjoying the majestic peaks of the Wallowa Mountains. This European alpine setting is a spectacular environment in which to enjoy a leisurely lunch, snack, or a favorite beverage. The grill offers a wide variety of casual food. The meaty gourmet burgers served with a mountain of fries, get raves from guests. If you would like a bit of spice in your meal, try a southwestern item from our menu featuring freshly made burritos, tacos, and our unforgettable nacho supreme. The deli sandwiches are made with fresh meats and trimmings and served on your choice of fresh breads. The sandwiches are especially good when accompanied with one of our several home-style soups or chili. We also might suggest a Summit Grill specialty the chili or soup bread bowl. The Summit Grill also offers a full range of snack items including cookies, cinnamon rolls, fries, soft drinks, hot specialty coffees and hot chocolate. We serve a number of well known beers and micro brews including our popular locally brewed “Terminal Gravity”. If you prefer we offer a variety of wines. Enjoy your own picnic on the "Alpine Patio”.
